what they built
Solo doctors have no back office, and they spend about two hours on electronic health record (EHR) work for every hour with patients. Follow-ups get lost, and the admin lands on the doctor after hours. We built an automation layer on top of the EHR they already use. A local speech-to-text model turns the visit into a draft note and pulls out every action that needs to happen. The doctor approves the note and each exact action over SMS. Then a local browser agent carries out those actions in the EHR, reads them back to check every field, and confirms. In our demo on OpenEMR (a real EHR, with fake patients), it saves the note, books the follow-up appointment (skipping the doctor's procedure days, with no double-booking) and messages the doctor's inbox. Devin built the OpenEMR browser controls, the tests and the practice's scheduling rule. Custom integrations used to be too expensive for one-doctor practices. Now with tools such as Devin they aren't.
