APERTURE OS
ship hardware at the speed of software.
what they built
AI writes firmware in seconds, but testing it still needs a human at the bench. Aperture OS gives AI agents hands: through a Raspberry Pi wired to a device under test, the agent drives pins, records and decodes signals, and verifies the firmware on real hardware. A human approves each new pin the agent uses. Impact: Speed: bench testing goes from hours of manual work to a chat command, so every commit can be tested on real hardware. Security: automated hardware security probes, such as checking for exposed debug ports, fuzzing inputs and verifying secure boot, catch vulnerabilities before devices ship. Market: targets a multi-billion-dollar testing market ($8.1B a year on automated test equipment alone) across 21B+ connected devices. Built with Devin: Devin turned our whiteboard sketch into a working prototype in hours: the app, the live Pi pin board, signal decoding, the approval flow, the Figma-matched design, the demo video and the sourced pitch. Ship hardware at the speed of software.
